Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why is the SuperSkimmer Basket a better skimmer basket?
The SuperSkimmer Basket outperforms all others by providing superior filtration using commercial grade industrial netting and a convenient handle that sits above the water line to keep hands dry when removing and emptying the basket.
2. How strong is the netting used for the basket?
In field tests performed, the netting material remained undamaged when capturing leaves, sticks, insects, rodents, tree seeds, husks, etc. with pool water pump flow rates up to 2,750 rpm's. It will not rip, tear or rot.
3. Is the netting material affected by weather conditions or pool chemicals?
The SuperSkimmer Basket net is made from industrial strength polyethylene and is not affected by the harshest of weather conditions. The netting material performs equally well in chlorine and salt water pools. The netting material will not rip, tear or rot.
4. What are the dimensions of each SuperSkimmer Basket model?
- Model 830 – 8 3/8” diameter across the top of the rim to each outside edge; 6” deep net
- Model 800 – 8” diameter across the top of the rim to each outside edge; 6” deep net
- Model 710 – 7 1/8” diameter across the top of the rim to each outside edge; 6” deep net
5. How do I measure the skimmer basket diameter? Should I use the inside diameter or the outside diameter across the outside one outer edge of the rim to the opposite outer edge of the rim?
The diameter is measured across the top of the skimmer basket at its widest point. Place the tape measure at the outer edge of the rim and stretch it across the rim top to the opposite outer edge of the rim.
