All pool owners deal with the continual mess of keeping traditional plastic skimmer baskets clean in spite of the smaller husks and seeds that frequently escape into the interior pool pump system. The last time my pool skimmer basket broke and flushed leaves, twigs and who-knows-what into my expensive cartridge filter, I said “AAAARRGGGH ... there MUST be a better performing skimmer basket that will actually do the job that I need it to!” There wasn’t, so we built one!
